Camile Sproesser’s paintings cross personal and fantastic narratives simultaneously.
In compositions which stand out for their vibrant colors, the artist invokes the symbolic potential of animals, human figures and other signs of nature and culture to open the possible representations they can have today.
Among portraits and visions, Sproesser’s poetic universe is satirical, playful and
fearless. In drawing references from different literary and mythological sources, the artist blends together stories from the past with women’s social and identitarian issues in the present day. In this sense, the images conjured on her canvases do not establish objective judgements on the subjects they address, preferring to reverberate humors and senses closer to instinct.
The artist had her 4th solo exhibition, 'The adoration of a strange wolf called Jupiter' on October 2020 at Projeto Vênus in São Paulo and will be resident at the Mass Moca’s Studios on may 2021. She was a fellow resident at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts for 5 weeks on October 2019 and had a show at Mendes Wood DM on February 2019.

As pinturas de Camile Sproesser cruzam narrativas pessoais e fantásticas a um só tempo. Em composições destacadas pela vivacidade das cores, a artista invoca a potência simbólica de animais, figuras humanas e outros signos da natureza e da cultura para abrir suas possibilidades de representação hoje.
Entre retratos e visões, o universo poético de Sproesser é satírico, lúdico e destemido. Ao beber de referências literárias e mitológicas diversas, a artista atravessa histórias do passado com as questões sociais e identitárias do feminino no tempo presente. Neste sentido, as imagens conjuradas em suas telas não estabelecem juízos objetivos sobre os temas que abordam, preferindo reverberar humores e sentidos mais próximos
do instinto.
A artista teve sua 4a exposição individual, 'A adoração de um estranho lobo chamado Júpiter' em outubro de 2020 no Projeto Vênus em São Paulo e será residente no Mass Moca Studios em maio de 2021. Ganhou uma bolsa para ser residente no Virginia Center for the Creative Arts durante cinco semanas em outubro de 2019 e teve uma exposição na galeria Mendes Wood DM em fevereiro de 2019.
